Signs of a faltering steering and suspension system include:

Steering problems

Inspections should be done to check shocks for leaks, cracks, and any other kind of damage. Look for vehicle bounce and sway when navigating corners and when breaking. When the car seems to bounce a lot, the shock absorbers may be worn out or leaking.

Problems with steering and suspension often cause an inflexible steering wheel. Whenever you find that it is getting difficult for you to turn the steering, check for causes such as low tire pressure, wheels are out of alignment, the power steering drive belt is broken or the steering gear needs lubrication.

Lose steering

You may experience a situation where the steering wheel is very easy to move and feels lose. This can make you feel like you have no control of your car .The possible causes of loose steering include a worn out steering linkage where the parts need replacement or they loose and need tightening.

Power steering does not respond

This happens when it takes a lot of effort to turn the steering wheel. This problem is likely caused by low tire pressure, a leak in the power steering lines, a bad power steering pump, or a steering linkage problem or broken steering drive.

Suspension problems

When the car sways from side to side and you need to hold the wheel firmly in order to go straight .This may go on for a long time before becoming noticeable. The causes include unequal tire pressure, wheels out of alignment, or uneven wear in the tires.

Noise while turning a corner

You may notice a knocking or squeaking noise when you turn a corner. The car may be moving smoothly except for the noise. Maybe the steering wheel needs to be lubricated, or some parts on the steering linkage are loose and need tightening.

Vibration in the car or steering wheel is a major risk. There may be one or more factor involved, such as damaged brake rotors, out of balance wheel and tire assemblies, or loose parts of the steering mechanism.
