The critical thing to consider in purchasing windshield wiper is its weather freeze point. While the lower the freeze point, the better, we don't have to get paranoid about it and purchase one good to minus 75 degrees unless the climate change people are really right on!
With this in mind, consider a windshield wiper fluid that is temperature appropriate to where you live; minus 75 degrees may be great and dependable for Alaska or Siberia but overkill in NY, CT or NJ.
Make sure that your windshield wiper fluid is powerful and strong enough to remove dirt, grime, the suicide attack on your windshield by a host of bug species, oil, grease, bird poop, etc.
Another facet we need to think about is our climate change theorists...unexpected weather has plagued us in recent years....when in doubt go with a lower freeze point fluid.
Cost? Well, these types of fluids are generally responsibly priced but do they work? Why not try one and see how you do (and while you are it pick up a pair new wind wiper blades!) When you find one that does it all.....keeps the windshield really spotless, seems to handle the temperatures well, has a reasonable price tag, etc. pick up a few gallons so you will be ready for anything.
