We have always stressed a fact that most people take for granted....the only part of your car that touches the ground are your tires. Do you want to trust old, worn, under-inflated tires with the health and wellness of your family?

Under-inflated tires are the #1 cause of tire related accidents and they cause thousands of accidents every year and hundreds of deaths.

When your tires are well maintained, you're safer, your car rides smoother, your tires last longer AND your vehicle uses less fuel which saves you money. Also, using less fuel means less pollution. Each year, the burning of gasoline leaves tons of carbon monoxide, soot, hydrocarbons and other toxic substances in the air our children breathe; that's something we must concern ourselves with now.

TIRE REPAIR varies from tire shop to tire shop. All locations of 106 St. Tire & Wheel always follow the strict Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) safety guidelines so our customers can drive with safety and confidence.

TIRE PRESSURE CHECK is vitally important and helps ensure proper tire wear and fuel economy. The proper tire pressure for your vehicle can be found in the door jamb, glove compartment or in the owner's manual. Checking tire pressure is always a FREE SERVICE at 106 St. Tire & Wheel.

WHEEL ALIGNMENT keeps your tires properly lined up and helps ensure even tire wear, proper handling, better fuel economy which saves you money at the pump which, once again, helps the environment. Properly aligning tires includes a visual inspection of suspension and steering components and adjusting the alignment angles to your car's factory recommendations.

ROTATING TIRES means longer tire life and better performance and it's particularly important for front wheel drive vehicles. This includes an evaluation of the appropriate rotation scheme for your vehicle and the removal and re-installation of tires.

MOUNTING TIRES correctly is important and whether your bring them with you or take advantage of our discount prices on name brand tires or our carefully inspected used tires, yours and your family's safety is our number one concern. We also dispose of your old tires in an ecologically appropriate way...we live in Queens, too....our community needs everyone to help out. Please don't dump your old tires anywhere!

USED TIRES are a viable and sensible solution in these difficult economic times and we can help with our carefully inspected tires. Each tire is examined per RMA guidelines to help insure their quality and your safety. This visual inspection includes checks for punctures from nails, cuts and other kinds of damage. Where do used tires come from? Sometimes, they are the only thing that is salvageable in a wreck, a flood, etc.
